BlizzCon Pin Trading

A new series of Blizzard Collectible Pins are releasing at BlizzCon this year, supported by a host of trading opportunities. The Pin Trading Booth and Board can be found in the Darkmoon Faire, which will be on the third floor of the convention.

Series 3 Pin Packs

Each Series 3 Pin Pack will feature one of ten new character designs: Tyrande Whisperwind, Chen Stormstout, Reinhardt, Pharah, Elite Tauren Chieftain, Harth Stonebrew, Terran Marine, Zerg Hydralisk, the Diablo Wizard, and the Diablo Witch Doctor. You’ll also have the chance to find rare gold versions of these pins—and this year, for the first time, the gold pins are sculpted! Series 3 Pin Packs are available now through the BlizzCon presale for digital and physical ticket holders at At the convention, you’ll be able to find them at both the BlizzCon store and at the Pin Trading Booth.

Something for Everyone

The Pin Packs are just the beginning of new products for BlizzCon! Be sure to keep an eye out for the following items at the Pin Trading Booth:

Pin Collector Lanyard

Don’t have enough pins yet for a roll-up? This wide band lanyard allows you to trade pins at a moment’s notice, whether you’re at the trading board or with other collectors—and it comes with a bonus Blizzard “Blue Ice” logo pin!

Last year, we featured four Cute But Deadly pins on a custom lanyard. This year, we’re introducing four new Cute But Deadly pins in a deluxe tin display. Nova, Kerrigan, Thrall, and Diablo pins can be displayed in their tin, on your lanyard, or be safely tucked away in the new Pin Trading Roll-Up. You decide!

Merchy Pin

This year’s gift with purchase is the gold Merchy pin. The official murloc mascot of the BlizzCon Store, he is available from the BlizzCon Store and Pin Trading Booth. For every transaction of a $100+ (before taxes and shipping), you’ll receive one gold Merchy pin (while supplies last).

The Hunt Is On

Want to complete your collection? Looking for a particularly elusive pin? Just want to meet up with other pin hunters? You’re in luck! There are number of pin trading activities at this year’s BlizzCon.

Trading Board

The Pin Trading Board will have its own booth this year, adjacent to the Pin Merchandise Booth in the Darkmoon Faire. Here, you can trade your Blizzard Collectible Pins for other Series 3 pins.

Rules for the Pin Trading Board

  • Collectors can trade for up to two different pins each time they approach the board.
  • Trades are one pin for one pin, and a gold pin can only be traded for another gold pin.
  • The board will accept any pin from the official Blizzard Collectible Pins collection.

We’ve made a slight change from last year: To aid in maintaining a diverse selection of pins for all traders, you can’t trade for two of the same pin from the board during one visit. You’re welcome to get back in line after you’ve made your trades. Remember, even though the board won’t accept BlizzCon year or anniversary pins, Pinny Arcade, Twitch, Warcraft Movie, or older Blizzard Pins, other pin traders may be interested in trading them with you.

Community Team Pin Traders

Members of the Blizzard community team will be wearing the new pin trading lanyards and trading their pins with other collectors. You’ll encounter these pin traders in the community team-supported booths in the Darkmoon Faire and other parts of the convention.

You can identify them by their “Community Team” shirts and new pin-trading lanyards.

Rules for Pin Lanyard Trading

  • Collectors can trade for up to two different pins per community member per day (multiple team members will be participating at the same time).
  • Trades are one pin for one pin, and a gold pin can only be traded for another gold pin.
  • They will only accept pins from the official Blizzard Collectible Pins collection.

Trading Tables

Throughout the Darkmoon Faire area, there will be a number of open trading tables. These tables are meant to encourage trades between attendees for any of the Blizzard collectibles. Whether you’re looking to trade pins, capsule toys, or vinyl figures, you can find other collectors here!

Rules for the Trading Tables

The trading tables have one simple rule, which is also one of Blizzard’s core values:

  • Play Nice, Play Fair

Wowhead Panser and Perculia Pins

Blizzard is collaborating with Wowhead Moderators Perculia and Panser with two new promotional pins of their chibi avatars. Come to the Pin Trading booth on Friday and Saturday between 2:00PM – 3:30PM to meet them in person and trade for their exclusive pins!

But Wait, There’s More…

In addition to all of the pin activities mentioned above, the Capsule Toy Depot and Plush Pet Adoption Center booths are also returning to the Darkmoon Faire!

While you’re enjoying the Faire, don’t forget to explore the new Timewalker’s Trading Post. This booth will feature amazing deals on some of the greatest Blizzard collectibles from the past. This is your destination for Cute But Deadly Series 1 Vinyl Figures, Heroes of the Storm Mystery Minis, Blizzard Funko POP!s and NECA Action Figures. The Timewalker booth is conveniently located near a number of the new Trading Tables. Make a purchase and you can enter a Time Portal and claim a prize from BlizzCons Past…or travel to the future and win a yet-to-be-released Blizzard collectible.

We wish you the best of luck in all of your trading quests, and we’ll see you at BlizzCon!
